This year’s Climate Camp (7-9 August 2026 in Clare) will be a collective effort, where attendees aren’t consumers but active participants in the running of camp – helping create an atmosphere of solidarity and mutual care. Participants will be able to sign up for a Meitheal slot at their arrival. People who wish to get more involved can join one of those 3 main groups:
– Site
– Kitchen
– Welfare
If you want to join one of those teams and help us co-organise care at camp, we’ll ask you to arrive on Thursday 6th August to attend our info session.

WELFARE
People who join the Welfare group will help us sustain a safer space during camp and create a collective culture of care.
There are 3 main welfare areas for volunteers to get involved with:
– Welfare watch / Awareness team: This group will organise a rota that will help us keep an eye on general welfare on site.
– Facilitation: Call for people who would be willing to facilitate a moment of approx. 30mins grounding, playful icebreakers, quick games break or somatic practices.
– Sustaining the movement, sustaining ourselves: Call for practitioners/therapists who can offer their skills to participants eg. massage, craniosacral therapy, active listening, yoga, etc.
Welfare volunteers will need to attend the info session and be aware of our Be Sound policy.
