Climate Camp Ireland is set to take place at Ardboe, Co Tyrone, on the shore of Ireland’s biggest lake, Loch nEachach (Lough Neagh) from August 7th to 11th 2024.

The Climate Camp is free to attend but please consider donating to the Climate Camp if you can afford to. This will help pay for food, marquee hire, building materials, tool hire and much more. Donate here

There are several different working groups such as Outreach, Media & Communications, Site & Logistics, Programming and more.
Yes! There will be a daily sign-up sheet to volunteering to help. Everybody is encouraged to volunteer for something. Jobs include food preparation, workshop support, toilet checks, vibe patrol. The Climate Camp will be a co-created, democratically organised space – everyone who takes part is involved in making it happen.
Yes, here are A4 posters – designed to print on your home printer. We encourage you to print them and share them at festivals, fairs and other public events on in your area. Download posters here
In 2024 we are putting together a programme with invited groups from around Ireland. The programme will be divided into Hands – Head – Heart streams. See programme page for full details.
We will have a number of marquees set up as event spaces, a kitchen providing food, some running water and limited electricity, and space for people to camp. There will be a minimum of 1 wheelchair accessible toilet. There is limited power available and this will be reserved for the kitchen and projector to use.
Please bring your own phone battery power banks. Please bring your own cups, bowls and cutlery. There are no shops near the camp.
An important part of the camp is meeting new people and making new connections. There is entertainment scheduled each evening, sometimes with amplified sound until 1am. Please bring ear plugs or protectors if you think this will be an issue for you.
Yes we aim to provide 3 vegan meals a day. Attendees are asked to make a donation for each meal in order to cover costs. The kitchen will be run by volunteers and there will be a sign up sheet onsite for people to volunteer to help with cooking.
Please bring any other food that you need or like. Please bring your own cups, bowls and cutlery. There are no shops near the camp.
Please bring your own tent and camping gear, waterproof clothes, a chair or something to sit on, a torch, a battery power bank (if needed), a cup, bowl and cutlery. There will be a kitchen onsite which aims to provide meals but please bring any extra food you want or need.

Yes, children are very welcome to attend. Whilst many of the sessions are aimed at an adult audience, we will have a dedicated youth space with a loose schedule and aim to have at least one activist or workshop a day. This may vary depending on capacity. Please note, all under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

Community care is a massive driving force behind Climate Camp. We are a small organising team but will do our best to accommodate access needs.
The land hosting the camp this year is a relatively flat and walkable field on the shore of Lough Neagh. There will be compost toilets and accessible portaloos close to the camping site.
Parking is limited but we will arrange accessible parking as close as possible to workshop spaces. If you have issues with mobility, please text the camp phone (+353 899621842) letting us know when you are planning to arrive and we will be happy to help you.
CO2 monitors will be placed in tents, to help people assess the air quality inside the more enclosed spaces at camp. We will also provide masks in all workshop spaces.

We have an online liftsharing spreadsheet where you can offer a lift or request a lift here.
The lift sharing is self-organised so you will need to make contact with your potential passenger/driver. Climate Camp will not be organising the lift shares. Please exercise caution when accepting/giving a lift with a stranger.
We have limited room on the campsite and may request that all vehicles park elsewhere. This will be confirmed nearer the date.

Well-behaved dogs who are calm and comfortable in crowds are welcome at the camp.
No alcohol before 8pm. Strictly no drugs onsite.
