Solidarity Pot

At Climate Camp we aim to build an accessible and welcoming temporary community. Most people involved are volunteering, however we recognise that the systems we live under can make it more difficult for some people to give their time without financial reimbursement. Therefore we are happy to share that this year we have been able to raise limited funds in order to support people to attend.

What is a ‘solidarity fund’?
A solidarity fund is a pot of money that exists purely to ensure people who want to be at camp, can be at camp. If the cost of childcare, transport or any other expense is a barrier to you being present, then the solidarity fund can be used to cover these costs.

Who can access the ‘solidarity fund’?
Anyone who needs it. We won’t be making a judgement on those we think are most in need of accessing the fund.

How can I access ‘the solidarity fund’?
Please fill out the form and submit it to us, ahead of the camp if possible. This means that we can make sure that we budget for eveyone who has applied for it. If possible, please hold on to your receipts and we will reimburse you via bank transfer before the camp or using cash at the camp itself.

Please note: Three nutritious vegan meals will be provided each day (with additional allergies accommodated for) therefore you will not need to bring food to camp, except for personal snacks if you would like. If you require a tent or any camping gear, please let us know via the form and we can likely provide you with one that has been donated to us.

This application will be accepted on a rolling basis until our funding runs out.
