Slí Eile plans for 2025

Slí Eile is coming together to develop our self-education and grow as a group this summer. This year our gatherings will not take the same form as previous camps. Our aim as a group is to build a radical climate movement in Ireland and we will continue to bring related campaign groups together in other ways this year. We are still aiming to lend active support to ongoing campaigns that we have engaged with at camps in previous years through action and solidarity.

Now more than ever, it is vital to recognise the interconnections between the struggles we’re facing in Ireland and worldwide. The same systems of capitalism, colonialism, patriarchy, and white supremacy are behind the destruction of the environment, the rise of the fascism, current global warfare, the genocide in Palestine, and the list goes on.

While Climate Camp has been an amazing space to bring people and campaigns together for important political learning, we want to spend some energy and time as a group to solidify our foundations and analyse our context so that we can organising more consistently on these issues. Keep an eye out to see what we’re organising in future as we will be publicising events for the broader movement throughout the year.
